New trailer and topper unit arrive!
--The Greater Akron Racers new trailer and topper unit ready for 2007 Old Birds! GAR driver Mike Jenkins picked up
the new trailer from Davis Welding in Wisconsin and then drove to Tulsa, Ok. to pick up
the new crates. Thanks Mike! The new trailer and topper unit were on display at the
first GNEO Y/B auction on April 14th, 2007. The new trailer and topper unit can haul 1,440 birds.

Walter Przeracki (a.k.a. "The Polish Prince") Wins 2008 GNEO OB Special!
----This is the sixth year for the GNEO OB Special. Any GNEO banded bird is eligible to fly this race.
Twenty-Five lofts entered 130 birds this year. The birds were released at 6:45 a.m. from Freedom, IN.
by race secretary Pat Quilter.
Weather at the release point was partly cloudy, SSW wind at 3 mph and 61 degrees. Weather was partly cloudy, SW 10 and 78 degrees when birds arrived.
Walt Przeracki clocked the first bird at 12:52:36. AU-05-GNEO-755 BBC flew 329.284 miles to win by 6 seconds over loft mate AU-06-GNEO 963 BC Hen . Congratulations Walt on First and Second!
Second loft and first bird in North section was won by Bill Gallik with AU-07-GNEO-3191 Sil C flying 333.201 miles and arriving at 12:59:31.
First in the South Section went to Stan Dickerson, AU-06-GNEO-1075 BBC flew 277.275 miles arriving at 12:32:36.
The Birds were split up and spread out with reports of Birds in Michigan.

immediately and headed NE. Weather was clear with a slight NW wind at release. Good luck to all. Due to the birds clearing
immediately it was not possible to get many pictures.
