Twenty-Three lofts entered 124 birds this year. The birds were released at 6:30 a.m. from Freedom, IN. by race secretary Mike Koenig.

Tom Tomer clocked the first bird at 13:56:25. AU-06-GNEO-2384 BBC flew 319.800 miles to win by 56 seconds. Congratulations Tom! 2384 was equal First on the GNEO 2006 Young Bird Race!
Second loft was won by Rick Holloway with AU-05-GNEO-1828 BBC flying 319.801 miles and arriving at 13:57:20.
