9/18/04 Heritage Loft wins the George Memorial Futurity, 4 min. 42 sec. Out front. Also taking 4th, 6th, & 7th. We are 40 miles longer then the short end loft, and flew into a 10 to 15 mile N.E. head wind all day. We’ve won this race three times in the last five years. It’s the toughest 300 mile derby in our area.
9/25/04 Duke Mucherino tops Spring Hill Florida Combine, over 2500 birds! Duke did this with a bird I sent down for the AU Convention Race Everybody knows it’s not easy to win in the Spring Hill Combine. I only sent 3 birds.
9/25/04 David Allen wins LCF Auction Race with a bird I sent to the auction. Also winning the pools. I only sent 2 birds to their auction.
10/2/04 Heritage Loft wins the DEF Auction Race 325 miles again into a 10 ~-20 mph head wind all day. We’re on the long end with little chance to win. Only 5 day birds! At our awards banquet it was announced I was the only one to ever win the GMF & Auction Race in the same year for the last 60 years.
